Kurz nach dem Beben besorgte sich Genthe eine neue Kamera und dokumentierte die Folgen der Katastrophe. Diese Aufnahmen sowie die \u00fcber 200 Fotografien aus der urspr\u00fcnglichen Chinatown besitzen fotohistorischen Wert.<\/p>\n<p>Arnold Genthe verstarb 1942 im Alter von 73\u00a0Jahren in New York an einem <a title=\"Myokardinfarkt\" href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Myokardinfarkt\">Herzanfall<\/a>.
